@cytronicoder0mmm, there's #100-days left of 2023 - what better way to kick things off than a revamp of my life? 💜
introducing v2.cytronicoder.com, the latest edition of my portfolio which I started last year. featuring the comeback of my ✨ projects ✨ showcase, as well as a brand new purple theme + profile picture rotation based on my Slack profile pic over at slack.cytronicoder.com! :slack:
additionally, non-hacky stuff: I opened up (sourced?) my two spotify playlists @ my profile (psst listen to the alternate version its honestly better) and my React workshop @ buildingbloCS! go check them out, and feel free to reuse the workshop materials :roo-love:
finally, i'm really excited to tell yall that my abstract on single-cell embeddings and spacial distributions (quite a mouthful tbh) has been selected for both a poster and oral presentation @ GIW ISCB-Asia 2023:partyparrot: ~now comes the part where I go on an indefinite hiatus to work on my final paper, presentation, and poster + school summatives~
@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA3here is my shopping list! it's just 7 projects so far, with some having already started and some not even past the conceptual phase. all things I'm super excited about exploring!
@ThomasStubblefield0a bit of progress 🙂
still to be done:
• forgot password
• welcome screen
• sharing images UI
• Privacy Policy & Terms + Conditions
also to do:
• better error handling on API side
• ~lowercase emails on database side~@ThomasStubblefield0A bit of progress. Work to be done soon:
• ~turn off tripling of recipes (was being done for testing)~
• Make login & sign up look snazzy
• Make a welcome screen
• Create UI for sharing recipes
• ~Make the create recipe screen toggle between inputs when the user taps return instead of ripping them out of the flow~
• Cache images @cwalker0Last weekend I did a camping trip with my friends where the theme was "Bring Every Vehicle". We brought my Prius, a RAV4, a Subaru Outback, 2 razor scooters, a stand-up paddleboard, a pair of off-road motorcycles, my boat, and an airplane! Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip:
@6ix40Where? Is there such a significant bug? No, there isn't. It is a new #feature :funny-dance:
@ZeroQL0#w-of-the-day day 219
I mostly practised typescript today, but I've just submitted my idea for n&w s4. feedback gladly welcome
@cwalker0I made a floating motorized bouncy castle. Will be talking more about this project in #mr-cwalkers-wild-ride for those who are interested@Snow0almost a whole year ago i shared my first iteration of my motion controlled lights. however, there was one big caveat; the sensor simply acted on motion, which meant if 1 person walks in the room, the lights turn on. but if another person walks in, they turn off because the sensor doesn't know what direction the movement was in. I upgraded my PIR motion sensor to a gesture sensor, which means it can now track how many people are in the room and turn the lights on or off accordingly.
i dont have a demo with multiple movements, but here it is in action with one 'person"@Srijit0I finally hosted codeday in my city yesterday along with @Ramiz@Priyansu-U047B0H912L and many more..
@Sean0It's been a while since this last happened :partyparrot:
@Peiprjs2AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
IVE JUST BEEN CALLED BY THE CIVIL REGISTRY. IN LESS THAN A WEEK MY “registral sex” (IE legal gender) WILL BE CLOSER TO MY ACTUAL GENDER! (i’ll get the papers to change it)
@ThomasStubblefield0Some design updates (still not close to done):
1. Design dropdown
2. Make Jam Resources A-Tags a custom component w/ Hack Club styling
3. Make navigation bar navigate to different sections
4. Make sections on the navigation bar decrease opacity when scrolled past and underline when presently in section@Vidhaaaaa0the first #trinity-hc meeting and we're playing skribbl in the break time! w/ @samthegreat7526@HarshitGandhi-U04CFLUCU15
@Marios0Working on my jam is actually very fun. I hope people will like it when it is finished
@ThomasStubblefield0Hi. I am doing some Jams platform dev stuff atm
(all sample content dw. sorry if you're in a photo or something dw this is just testing purposes)@Peiprjs2This message contains interactive elements.
@Adithya-U04J2M4ERC70I know this is very late, but I had to deal with a lot of shitty parts, suppliers who've ghosted me and yeah, i don't want to give any excuses but here's my final project!
@davidm0so uh today has been going well, i've added an admin ui to synapse (no i didn't make it but it takes forever to compile lol), also i'm trying to bridge synapse to slack so we can still speak to people outside of outernet during outernet. thankfully today's progress has been easier than yesterday!
@alialiwa20050:gaynormccownhackclub: Gaynor McCown Hack Club :gaynor-mccown-gradient: OnBoard :onboard: NFCard!
@ThomasStubblefield0First "app" :)@alialiwa20050In May 2023, I have, for the first time, sponsored & organized a hackathon! 🎉
The event invited fellow students of all levels of mastery in computer science, and allowed participants at my school to form teams, make friends, innovate, win prizes, sharpen skills of all types (computer science, entrepreneurship, and beyond), and have a fun & memorable experience. 🎁
It was also a major personal goal for me that I am happy to have achieved before I graduate high school. :smiley-twemoji::thumbsup-dino:
Taking my past personal memories at hackathons I've attended, such as BetaNYC (March 2020) and Hack Club's Epoch Vermont (December 2022) :epoch:
The 2-day-long McCown Hacks :mccownhacks: also made a great closing to the third year (2022-2023) of Gaynor McCown Hack Club :gaynormccown:, and an awesome milestone of my nearly complete high school career 🎓 , in which my passion for computer science was sparked! :gaynor-mccown-gradient:

@ImDeet-U045B4BQ2T00Day 12 daily figma, created a fun Home Screen for Trivia Travel just a fun game idea I had Gpt come up with, where you answer questions based on where your traveling. Based the UI around the Home Screen for trivia crack@ImDeet-U045B4BQ2T00Day 9 of Figma, I ran out of time to finish adding a parallax scroll but will try another time@Arpan0Today was a day 7 years on the making
(Expect more pics as I get em)
@Cheru0wahoo!!
this uses a Go server running on my computer, which interfaces with the arduino to get nunchuck data (pings the arduino, which returns binary data via serial), & as a proof of concept runs an http server which is being called by a lil html/js app to display joystick position@ShawnMalluwa-U04BBP8H9FA3starting to build my haxidraw! ill start a thread of my progress in #development-of-things-and-stuff :)
@ThomasStubblefield0Imagine if you could easily reach out to clubs in your area simply by glancing at a map and directly copying the emails. No need to imagine.
Opt-in & help us build @ #clubs-directory
(This was a fun feature to implement. We're using React-Leaflet.)
(+ you can even Search on Maps, but this feature isn't fully fleshed out yet)@Sean0I let EasyEDA's autorouter do it's thing and cut the PCB design time from 2-4ish hours to like 10mins
