This is really meaningful for me to finally see this be shippable, and me and @m04 have been working on this for some time now.

@Sam7+I've been forgetting to write the past few days so here it comes! The past 4 days @ Shad :shad: and we're nearing the end of the program, here's some highlights! The final presentation went well as expected! We also went to 🇨🇦 Banff! It was my second time being there. The view in general, especially 🏞️ Lake Louise, was gorgeous as usual and I had some amazing 🤌 ramen at the Town of Banff! The same day, we got to ride the Banff 🚡 Gondola. The view during the ride and the views on top of Sulfur Mountain ⛰️ were amazing. I had a great time with my fellow Shad members. We also went to downtown 🏙️ Calgary! Took the C-Train 🚊 again; I love Calgary Public Transit. Visited the top of Calgary Tower, the view was breathtaking.
That's all! With only a day left in the program, and all the memories and connections I've formed, it feels bittersweet that I'll probably never see the majority of them after a day.
@jc3hi! i’ve been a bit inactive in this slack but i’m officially back! just wanted to share a couple things i’ve been working on: marrow, markright, and the star of the show, arson! arson:fireball: is a programming language, around, well, ARSON! what else. (excuse the bad inside joke.)👇 here’s a demo of me writing a sudoku puzzle solver in arson with marrow, a text editor i’ve been working on using this amazing guide on writing one in c that i’ve been expanding upon! because i want my own vim alternative but mostly for funsies and to learn c.
another things: markright! some people might know that i wrote my own markdown parser a while ago along with a web ui. the web ui has been improved and looks a lot better! (although i have a couple issues to fix in chrome). comes w/ google oauth (i kind of skimped on adding extra auth options) and a recursive filesystem. demo also below 👇
extra things i did or am working on icyi at www.jianminchen.com/article/general/2023-06-04! going forward planning to work on more hc-centric stuff!@Sameer0Alright, my kind people!! Here's what I got in my recent package from hack club!! I got some "sprig posters" for Phoenix hacks:fireball:

@Arpan0Worked on this today, my portal scene and I'm so so happy with this
@jasonaa0this isn't very important but this is my biggest achievement on this slack
@Jupiter0Nice, I finished my AOC runner (not public yet)
@sampoder5this has been floating around the slack last night but let me introduce you to <https://meet.hackclub.dev|meet.hackclub.dev>!
it's a fun website that introduces you to a random Hack Clubber from the Scrapbook API. I made it a while back with Next.js :)
@sampoder5Today I ran what I called the "The Great Race Across Singapore" with my Student Council friends as a team building activity! How it worked that there were teams placed in secret locations and they had to go through a series of challenges to reach the "final location" on the other side of the island which was the Merlion in Marina Bay but they didn't know that.
Here's how it worked:
Each team had 4 council members and one council leader. The council members were each given a store number that they had to go to in he Yishun Mall. Then the council leaders were all separated from their team together at Yishun Station. To come together they need to communicate through their location with only emoji.
Then once they have met, they receive a cryptic message: My name is TRY***PA, call me maybe? . When they type this word into their phone, it will call me. I then read out the following message: 1°21'53.2"N 103°50'27.8"E, but bigger.
If you head to 1°21'53.2"N 103°50'27.8"E, you will yourself in a random carpark in Ang Mo Kio (Singaporean outskirt-ish suburb, very residential). But what is special about this random carpark, is that it is the site of a small Merlion statue pictured below (where you wouldn't really expect one, they're rare). And remember we wanted "bigger". So they now have to travel down to the main Merlion statue in Marina Bay racing against each other. On the way they had some fun tasks as well such as taking selfies, learning more about each other!
First one there wins the race!!!! It went pretty well on the delay and despite some early hiccups the Academics Department team put their minds to it and won the race! How the completely skipped going into AMK by just use Google Street View 🤣 Diego got a big brain!!
Here's a photo of the winning team and that infamous mini merlion as well some screenshots from Sherlock Holmes my alt account on Slack plus a make do TikTok that me and Anjali (VP) made coz neither of us have TikTok lol
really nice to have some fun!
