@MintyTreble0recently etched a small pcb for eeprom breakout and used my rp2040 board to read/write to it 😄
@arav2working on a new card for the hack club site! a little wonky right now though
@6ix40Where? Is there such a significant bug? No, there isn't. It is a new #feature :funny-dance:
@6ix40github.com/6ix4/WhoAmI Vite React Project renders images into animations. Now I use the cache for next step rendering. I want to use the technician sprite animation to make a simple web game in the future. This project was inspired by hack club members. I made a new feuter and would like to update more.I hope you like this.
Sorry if I share my work in the wrong channel, you can recommend me, I just have Github and other social media for not very long. nice to meet you all
@jzaleta0Woohoo! After some long-time procrastination, the #ship time has finally arrived! 🚢 Back in 2021, when I joined Hack Club :hack-club:, I had an idea—to create a website featuring the contents of my old iPod. However, that initial attempt didn't quite work out because I lost access to the files. But, guess what? Years later, I successfully managed to recover those old files, safely stored on an ancient hard drive, and now I'm giving it another shot! But this time, instead of making a simple static site, I used Vite.js :vite: to build github.com/jzaleta/stuff-warehouse!
Give it a ⭐ on :github: if you like it! :salute:
@ThomasStubblefield0Some design updates (still not close to done):

@alialiwa20050In May 2023, I have, for the first time, sponsored & organized a hackathon! 🎉
The event invited fellow students of all levels of mastery in computer science, and allowed participants at my school to form teams, make friends, innovate, win prizes, sharpen skills of all types (computer science, entrepreneurship, and beyond), and have a fun & memorable experience. 🎁
It was also a major personal goal for me that I am happy to have achieved before I graduate high school. :smiley-twemoji::thumbsup-dino:
Taking my past personal memories at hackathons I've attended, such as BetaNYC (March 2020) and Hack Club's Epoch Vermont (December 2022) :epoch:
The 2-day-long McCown Hacks :mccownhacks: also made a great closing to the third year (2022-2023) of Gaynor McCown Hack Club :gaynormccown:, and an awesome milestone of my nearly complete high school career 🎓 , in which my passion for computer science was sparked! :gaynor-mccown-gradient:

@toonnongaeoy1Finally, Thai version of the Hack Club global site is up.
Thanks, @sampoder for making this project and help me along the way.
This also my first translate that I do in public, so if it have any mistake you can tell me and I will fix it right away, or maybe just make a pull request to the repo.
@Shrey-Mehra0Making an envelope to collect all Hack Club letters in it
@Sameer0Alright, my kind people!! Here's what I got in my recent package from hack club!! I got some "sprig posters" for Phoenix hacks:fireball:
@Sameer0Got another shady package from hack club, Let's see what's in it! Posting it tomorrow!:sussy_gotem:
@ZeroQL0#w-of-the-day day 144
I did not play valorant today, instead I spent most of the time studying organic chemistry (what in gods given earth is this?)
Also I’ve joined the 100 day streak club 😎
@Sameer0Got a small black shady-looking package:sussy_gotem: from HackClub yesterday! But when I opened it; It was the pins/badges made out of the custom pixel art I submitted to @Holly! I really enjoyed designing them! and am thinking of doing a workshop on how to do pixel art in my club "Phoenix Hacks" YaY
@thatrobotdev0Okay I wanna code/hack on something cool every day of the summer if I can, so I’ll be sharing a lot more here!! I just finished preparing for our last Hack Club meeting for this year, and I’m so excited to celebrate our club members! Pictured here is my cool sister 😎
@ThomasStubblefield01) User flow + Information Architecture for Jams
2) Improved Text Legibility for Batch Jam Recipe Previews & Changed Tag Names
3) Wireframes for additional pages
4) Wireframe / Super Lo-Fi Prototype of Feedback Flow (creating Social Validation for a Jam)
6) Low fidelity mockup for aspirational project
~random idea: Imagine if Jams videos had "fake Ads" that you could skip that were meme like videos inspiring people to do Hack Clubby stuff like join the Slack, post on Scrapbook, come to one of our upcoming hackathons, or start a Hack Club & they were super slow budget & hacky~
@Sameer0YAY, Had a meet with the amazing @Holly for my club " Phoenix Hacks", and Had an amazing time, She helped me set up my club. Taught me about HC resources I can use for the development, and showed me the beautiful sunset pictures from (HQ) Vermont!!:beatsaber:
@ThomasStubblefield0Added active/inactive state for club icon on the new map
#clubs-directory@Sameer0Really Excited to officially start my Club

@ThomasStubblefield0Redesigning Club Network for Mobile

(dailyUI #4)@arav2Preparing some envelopes to send to club leaders for #angelhacks-toronto
@ThomasStubblefield0What if your club could collaborate with other clubs? What if you could connect with another club for a mini-hackathon or even make new friends while traveling and discovering a Hack Club in another city?
The Club Directory unlocks the power of cross-club collaboration, allowing clubs to transcend boundaries and create together. If this interests you, join #clubs-directory@Arpan had this vision and shared it with me, and we decided to make it a reality. We've been working on the tool for about a week (maybe two). I'll catch you up on what we've done in the following screenshots:
Screenshot 1: Arpan and I collaborated on a call to create the general user flow for the Club Directory.
Screenshot 2: Arpan and I split ways, and he began focusing on the backend while I focused on the frontend. See the UI prototype I created attached.
Screenshot 3: We realized we were a bit out of scope, so we narrowed the scope for our MVP so we can ship ASAP and work more closely with the community.
Screenshot 4: I'm coding the frontend MVP in NextJS while Arpan builds the backend in FastAPI.
p.s. currently I am working on multiselect & making that experience awesome & next I'll focus on responsiveness & map view
also privacy is a big concern and we're currently trying to work through how we can allow clubs to opt-in (or maybe opt-out) of the Club Directory)
all data shared here is fake club data, dw we're not revealing real data in this post
the old internal name was Club Network and the new name is Club Directory
@ThomasStubblefield0Today marks the end of my time as the Dorman Hack Club leader, as I officially handed over the reins to Jaime, our club's next leader. I am excited to see how he leads his club and grateful for his decision to continue this space for makers at DHS.
In addition, today also marks the release of the Carolina Hacks mini-documentary (attached to this post). Carolina Hacks was a hackathon that my friends and I organized, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Thanks to everybody who helped make it awesome.@ThomasStubblefield0At today's Hack Club meet, we explored Spline 😄
@cytronicoder0Day 2/3 of #hack-club-at-fossasia-23!! I felt the need to post about this as a ship, as we committed a couple of shenanigans along the way~ :sphere:
1. Yes, we did a lil thing to #place - some of us here got bored and went to a Starbucks, where we sat and masterfully constructed the one and only John Cena. Then, we returned to the place and updated the board with a photo from #lion-city-hacks-bts!! DON'T WORRY WE ARE NOT HERE TO TROLL (although the john cena one was good, it was just a test - sorry @belle :p)
2. I worked with LionsForge to laser-cut a @dinobox acrylic piece! Going to buy an LED base to put this on :partyparrot:
3. Many stickers from everywhere - this is now the premier event where I got the most swag from
4. We set up a challenge for FOSSASIA participants to draw their versions of @orpheus!! The results were.... pretty diverse, and we will be sending them sometime tomorrow ~I think~
Here are some photos from today - a video update can be found in our planning channel linked above!
See ya :pirateparrot:
@Sarthak0Learning about diffusers with fast.ai has been really interesting. Today, I tested what I'd learned by hosting a mini-lecture with some of my peers that are part of our school's Hack Club, and began to dive deeper into U-Nets and Variational Autoencoders to understand how diffusion models work under the hood. We also continued work on our soundboard!
@thatrobotdev0Created a Jellyfin to store my YouTube archive + music on my network in a nice UI and learned a lot about Hack Club’s burrow on the project call (and kind of started a sort of journal to track my rust journey from 0, I really want to join as many of the weekly calls as possible since it’s a really cool project!).
@arianna0lil assemble reunion last weekend with @yestrada.re at ncwit event (don’t mind our attempt at spelling HC for hack club)
@LouisGan-U04G7K77ZNV0Winter Hardware Wonderland #hardware-party
There were complications in getting the Hack Club Bank to work and parts were slow to ship from overseas - but finally I got all the parts to work and here is the first prototype of the Triton Amphibious Rover! github.com/hackclub/winter/blob/main/thelouisgan.md
The RC controlled rover features a LEGO Technic vehicle that I coupled with a motor, and for the water side of things I rigged an underwater motor and 3D printed rudder to a 25KG servo motor. All this is remotely controlled with an RC so that you can take it to explore different terrain and locations! It is also powered by a rechargeable LiPo battery and will be able to operate up to 15 minutes on a full charge in optimal conditions. Will update more photos and videos of it in action soon!
Please do give feedback/suggestions as this is my first big scale project and thanks to @MelanieSmith and @belle for the support.
@AmirArbouch-U04FNLQ9H8V0WHW day +6: after hours struggling with wifi connection, I have succeeded to get on hack club slack and make a post on the scrapbook. Here is what I did during my week without internet:
• print time on serial monitor thanks to the RTC library that I've already install (i have also displayed them on my lcd screen but i forgot to take pictures)
• read some books about C programming language to code my arduino better (don't have C++ books but it was the best I got without internet 🥲)
this week I went finish my holidays to the mountains ... but I forgot to take my arduino 😭 no progress this week sorry if my project take a long time to get finished (I think i'll not be able to continue during school)

@SimonWimmer-U04H1RXA4BX0❄️ Day 10 of #WinterHardwareWonderland ❄️
For my #hardware-party project, I’m building an improved version of a smart garden. 🪴
Wahoo! My smart garden project is finished now. The mechanics work, the electronic does what it should do, and the code also performs. This project helped me a lot at advancing my electronical skills and I’m the whole Hack Club Team indescribably thankful for giving us all this great opportunity. This event has produced so many good devices that I'm really inspired by. I'm really proud to be a part of this wonderful community.
